AQUA STRING BAND HEADS ALL STAR CAST IN BENEFIT FOR GRIFFIN'S FRIENDS
On March 27, the Aqua String Band, a Mummers band from Philadelphia, performed at O'Brien's Corner to benefit Griffin's Friends. The Aqua String Band was preceded by the Caledonian Pipe Band of Holyoke who regaled the hundreds of guests with classic, stirring bagpipe music. The night was also highlighted by the area's pre-eminent Elvis show, Ray of Elvis, starring the fabulous Ray Guillmette. Bobby Darling and Dr. Devine, with their unique treatment of rock and roll classics, had the crowd reeling. All of the performers were terrific. It was a wonderful, fun night. Several hundred supporters revelled in the entertainment for a good cause. Thanks to the sponsors of the event and especially Brian Elliott, who organized the benefit.
